Stockholm+50 will take place on June 2 and 3: an international environmental meeting convened by the United Nations General Assembly. FairClimateFund will speak at an event organized by the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance and the UNFCCC.

Stockholm+50 takes place fifty years after the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment. The event will help leaders take urgent action needed for a better future and a healthy planet.

“Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity”

On the first day, the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance, together with the UNFCCC, will organize the accompanying event Getting to Zero: The Potential of Carbon Markets to Support Development and Climate Action.

The event will demonstrate how avoiding and reducing greenhouse gas emissions can be successfully combined with offsetting. The challenges for the voluntary CO2 market are also discussed compared to the current state of affairs with regard to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The event will take place online.
