SDG 16: peace, justice and strong public services

In 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations as the new global sustainable development agenda for 2030. Our projects contribute to aseveral of these SDGs, such as SDG16: Peace, justice and strong public services.

SDG 16 aims to end abuse, exploitation, human trafficking and all forms of violence and torture. It is therefore crucial to tackle the causes of violence, such as reducing illicit financial flows, arms trafficking and corruption by 2030.

The project in Chad contributes to this goal. Providing refugees with solar cookers contributes to the safety of women and children in refugee camps. They do not have to travel long unsafe distances for wood for cooking. Thanks to the Cookit Solar Cooker, they can safely stay in the camps to cook.
