B Corp certification
B Corp certification
We have been a B Corp since September 2022. Together with many other B Corps, we are changing the global economy for the benefit of all people and the planet.
We are incredibly proud to announce that as of January 2026, we have achieved a new B Corp score of 136.9. This is 16.8 points higher than our previous score (120.1). Together with our colleagues and partners, we continuously work on improving all aspects of the score, and we are therefore very proud of this result!
What does it mean to be a B Corp?
It means that our work benefits everyone. From our employees to the communities we support. Our highest goal is to make an impact with our business activities.
Companies calculate their CO₂ footprint and reduce it as much as possible. For the remaining emissions, they purchase carbon credits from Gold Standard and/or Fairtrade-certified climate projects that benefit people in vulnerable regions.
FairClimateFund’s projects have an integrated approach. Our projects benefit the communities we work with; communities experience life improvements such as healthier living, time savings and increased income. The projects also improve the climate with the CO2 that we reduce through clean cooking and planting trees.

Governance
This section assesses mission, transparency, ethics, and responsible governance. FairClimateFund has legally and organizationally embedded its social mission and reports transparently on its impact and decision-making processes.
Workers
Within this component, employment conditions, employee engagement, professional development, and staff well-being are assessed. It focuses on how the organization supports, encourages, and actively involves its people in its policies and day-to-day operations. This includes aspects such as development opportunities, communication, work environment, recognition, and the extent to which employees feel heard and valued.
Community
A significant part of the overall score is derived from impact on communities. For FairClimateFund, this includes collaboration with local partners, fair value chains, and projects that promote income security and access to sustainable energy in vulnerable regions.
Environment
This component examines environmental policy, operational impact, and the organization’s core activities. Because climate impact is central to the mission of FairClimateFund, this component carries significant weight in the overall assessment.
Customer
This component focuses on the societal value of products and services, customer orientation, and transparency toward clients and partners.
What’s next?
Being a B Corp does not mean that we have received our certificate and score, and that is the end of our path. We must constantly look for new developments to improve. Every year we will improve our score and therefore our impact. And inspire others to become a B Corp too!
